Lugano

“To awaken quite alone in a strange town is one of the pleasantest sensations in the world”
– Freya Stark

Lugano is a city in southern Switzerland where the language they speak is Italian as it is near the border of Italy. They have a mix of cultures, between Italian and Switzerland cultures. This is a beautiful city, also very calm and nice to just walk outside and have nothing to worry about.
It is between the Lake Lugano, which is very big and everywhere you turn there is water. You can also take the Forniculare which takes you up to the top of the mountains and you can appreciate the views and take pictures, really really nice.

In all of my trips, I walked a lot, but a lot really means A LOT! But, you can get something out of walking instead of taking the bus, tram or metro. By walking, you can appreciate the things that you pass by and look at them, stay in the store and admire the things they sell, or ask questions about how much does it cost, all that stuff that you can’t do if you’re on the bus. Also, because by walking you burn many calories and all the stuff that you eat during your trips, you don’t gain it that much, because of all the walking.

What I liked about most of the little cities that I went to, is that almost no one goes there, many people go to the most important cities or popular ones, and they don’t look at others that are also really nice and beautiful.
