“A journey of a thousand miles begins with a single step”
– Lao Tzu
Bardonecchia is a little italian town located outside of Torino. This was my first trip out of the city and everywhere. I went with a group of students studying in the same university as me, international too.
I’ve just arrived and it was so freaking cold, wearing my biggest jacket and with gloves, hat, scarf and also some pants underneath my jeans. But, it was so nice and beautiful, because it was the first time in my life that I see snow.
The hiking was tiring, because of all the snow and the special shoes they give you, that you have to learn how to walk in them. But, after a while you learn to adapt and as does your body. We walked up to a mountain where at the end of it, it was like a little cabin where we ate typical food of Piemonte and drank wine.
When we started descending, the snow was showing a bit more intense, and my hair was almost all white, not that much cold, because of the hiking that we did and because your body starts to sweat and adapting to the weather.
Such a beautiful experience!
