From the beginning that I knew I was going to Italy, I always dreamed the day I was going to Venice, because it was always a dream that I had. Many people usually don’t like going to Venice or once they get there, they really don’t like their experience in the city, because of how the city is on water and that sometimes the water smells really bad or when you go when people have vacations, as it is a small city, everything is so crowded.
The Piazza di San Marcos where there is the Saint Mark’s Basilica, so beautiful from the inside and outside. You can’t take pictures on the inside because of an Italy law, but still have the memories on my head. When there is a nice weather, in that plaza, you can have a coffee and just sit and look at the people walking by.
I went on not so much of a cold weather, but still had to wear my jacket. It was a really nice experience, because I think that in Venice everything is so calm and nice.
My experience riding a Gondola, it was cool… because of the water that poured over me haha I’m just kidding, it was a nice experience and something that I’ve always wanted to do. It was the last day that I was going to be there and well, I wanted to ride it even though the weather seemed like it was going to rain and in fact, it did.
I had my umbrella with me, but still half of my jeans were wet at the end of the ride and my tennis, also my backpack, but it was an experience that I will never forget.
Something that I should say… I went alone in all of my trips, it was something that I’ve never done before in my life, but something that I should’ve done a long time ago. Traveling alone is the best thing someone can do, you really find yourself, you learn to appreciate the things that you have, also you learn to find your way around a city.
