“Remember that happiness is a way of travel – not a destination.”
– Roy M. Goodman
I went to Milano in March, so it was still very cold. Had my full jacket mode on, with scarf and gloves and my wool hat. I went when almost no people were there on vacations, as it was still winter and just the people who live there were there. Italians are very kind and sweet (I learnt that from my classmates and teachers and the people that I met)
The Duomo di Milano, is just wonderful and beautifully designed. Definitely one of the most beautiful buildings I’ve ever seen. You get so amazed by it. And you can even go to the top of it, with a price of course (which I didn’t climbed it), but I guess the view is amazing.
The Galleria di Vittorio Emmanuele has the most expensive stores. As everything is like glass and that beautiful rock hanging from its walls. You can just walk through it and take pictures and admire the architecture. I’ve seen some beautiful pictures taken from the inside of the gallery.
I was a weekend that I got a free entrance to the Castello Sforzesco because it was the first weekend of the month, so every museum in Italy is free. That castle is very beautiful, the architecture and its way of designing things is so very to be appreciated.
Il Cenacolo or The Last Supper of Da Vinci… I couldn’t enter because you have to get your tickets like way before you go to Milan. Some were even telling me that they got their tickets in December and we were in March. That building is not that attractive from its outside façade, the wonder is from the inside, because everyone just wants to see the Last Supper of the famous painter Leonardo Da Vinci, which I really wanted to see… So, if anyone wants to go see the painting, I recommend to buy tickets with anticipation.
