Torino

“ Take only memories, leave only footprints.”
– Chief Seattle

I stayed in this beautiful city for 5 and a half months during my semester abroad.
From the beginning I didn’t knew where I was going to stay, but fortunately an aunt has friends over there and they welcomed me very kindly to their home. They showed me around, which buses I can take to school (later I figured that I can see that through google maps) and where to buy the cellphone chip, basically all the beginner stuff.

Torino is a very calm city, where you can go out at night and be freely without worrying that something might happen to you.
I remembered that I got lost the first time I went to a trip and the friends of my aunt were going to pick me up, but unfortunately my phone died and I had no one with me or where I can communicate back to them. So, I started walking and walking and I went very far, but fortunately I remember some names of the streets and they sounded familiar to me, so I started going that way… finally, I arrived home and they were so worried about me and I told them what happened. So, after that time, I always have my phone charger with me and additional batteries in case that happens again. It was such an adventure.

Torino has many parks where you can go and relax or to just spend the evening; having a picnic with friends… and there is the River Po, where people rent a canoe, some even practice the sport, but very important, you can’t swim in it.

Also, many amazing views.
